AUWA Environmental technology & Recycling was founded in the year 2011 as an independent company and took over the sales activities of the Austrain company Austrowaren Alphapack GmbH, an expert in the filed of the environmental technology in the same year.

Employees of Austrowaren Alphapack GmbH have joined the company AUWA and are currently our clients with their know-how and many years of experience at disposal.

For the optimal service to our clients in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia, 2011 AUWA entered into an agreement with Austrowaren Alphapack s.r.o. Our clients benefit from this cooperation with Austrowaren Alphapack s.r.o., due to the many years of experience and a very wide range of realised tailor-made projects.

2012 AUWA has successfully succeeded in entering the Bulgarian market.

AUWA Recycling Bulgaria Ltd. was founded on March, 2013. Together with our customers, AUWA Recycling Bulgaria looks forward to a very successful and promising future.

Austrowaren was found 1945 as a small trading company for barter systems in the foodstuff sector. Already from establishment strong attention to foreign contact was put particularly to the adjacent Eastern European countries.

Starting from 1960 the assortment is widened increasingly by packing, fastening and environmental technology.

In 1987 the company was transferred by GASKOKS - the former trading firm of the Länderbank AG - now Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG.

In 2003 Austrowaren was bought of Haider Handels GmbH and renamed into Austrowaren Alpahapack GmbH.

In September 2004 the packing department was sold, therefore the department of fastening and environmental technology remained.
